Small and Medium Businesses and Local Governments Continue to Invest
in Oracle® Applications Instead of SAP and Microsoft
Organizations Choose Oracle over Competitive Offerings to Mitigate Risk and
Benefit from Low-Cost Applications
REDWOOD SHORES, Calif., X, 2007 — Momentum continues for Oracle as small and medium businesses (SMBs) and local governments (SMGs) continue to select Oracle® Applications instead of SAP and Microsoft, Oracle today announced. Companies such as Baja Mining Corp., Integro Insurance Brokers, Markwest Hydrocarbon, Inc., Nigasoft, Perry Equipment, Renasant Financial Partners Limited and WEHCO Media, Inc. evaluated SAP and Microsoft but opted for Oracle in order to overcome complex industry challenges and benefit from flexible, scalable and affordable applications.

“With more than 190,000 small and medium customers, Oracle has a proven track-record of delivering low-cost, low-risk applications to SMBs and SMGs,” said Oracle Senior Vice President, Global SMB Business Unit Tony Kender. “We are winning deals around the world because our offerings aren’t cumbersome to deploy and are not costly to maintain. SMBs and SMGs are finding that Oracle Applications are an affordable, manageable investment that enables them to address their unique business and specific industry requirements.”

High-Value, Quick to Deploy Applications
Baja Mining Corp. owns a 100 percent interest in El Boleo Project, an advanced polymetallic (copper, cobalt, zinc, manganese) property located in Baja California Sur, Mexico. As the company began developing Mexico’s largest copper-cobalt deposit, it realized it needed to make a software investment that could be deployed quickly and cost effectively. After a careful comparison of Oracle, SAP and Microsoft, Baja Mining Corp. decided to rely on iSP3 Solution Providers Inc.’s deep systems expertise and mining industry knowledge to implement Oracle Applications.
