We are live with JDE 9.2 and BIP. Our BIP data driven documents are automatically printing and/or emailing all over the country successfully! Thanks for your help. We’ve been able to eliminate the need for CreateForm and use JDE BIP to accomplish what was done with 100’s of CreateStream scripts and forms.
We saw Purge-it! at a user conference and it seemed like it would be a good fit. We liked that it was OVI, looked and worked just like JDE, and that the investment would be low. We would be able to largely self-install and carry on going forward.
This project was more about increasing system performance than saving space. In testing, after archiving six years of data, we saw MRP runtime decrease by nearly 45%. Initial archiving in production has decreased MRP runtime by almost 15%.
Purge-it! is very well designed, easy to use, and has investigative tools to determine why a record did not get purged. Their customer service is outstanding. We are very pleased with our purchase.

It is my opinion that Purge-it! is the most appropriate solution for archiving JD Edwards data. Central to this is the fact that with its use of JDE menus, you are immediately familiar with the software and not having to learn a completely new system. Purge-it! is very intuitive.
Implementation was very simple. Our training, which was provided remotely over 2 sessions, went very well. We had a good understanding of what to do and what we needed to do after those sessions. We were able to purge 1.25 terabytes of data which was about half of what we had before. Purge and archive routines were able to run successfully in the background whilst monitoring other applications.
It ticked all the boxes for us – simple yet powerful, easy access to data once it was archived, low consulting requirements. Being built right into EnterpriseOne and having the same look and feel made it more attractive to both us and our user community.
After evaluating the product internally and via product demonstrations, we decided upon Purge-it! due to our own findings but also due to recommendations that we had received from other companies. Purge-it! was developed specifically for JDE, required very little training, and allowed us a ‘proof’ and a ‘final’ run.

Our plan was to keep 7 years of data in our production tables, so we archived about 6 months of data right away with our initial purge. It worked exactly as expected. We also uncovered data issues that would have otherwise gone totally unknown – this was a great side benefit for us.

It’s easy to get busy and leave purging and archiving projects as a ‘sometime down the road project’ but you don’t want to do this. Don’t be a ‘data hoarder’. If it’s time to purge your data, whether before an upgrade or not, then it’s in your best interest to clean it up. Purge with integrity so you don’t end up with data issues. Data clean up before an upgrade is strongly recommended. We are there and you should be too!

Purge-it! far surpassed our previous solution, there is no comparison.
During the purge and archive process, Purge-it! identified that we had a lot of data that was not closed, highlighting problem areas in our data.
We used the Purge-It! custom module to purge old accounts from our Address Book and related tables. I processed over 40 batches of accounts and purged over 509,000 accounts!
We have cleared off about 12 years of data from Production since starting up and have made the purge and archive process part of our year end schedule.
I wanted to take the time to thank you for the support and professionalism during the last year to complete this project. Based on some estimates, we expect to save up to $4,000/month in AWS cost to maintain and run our JDE database. So this project is a great win for us, as it will also guarantee control growth in our JDE data and operations or the upcoming years. The removal of the divested company data cleared 2.4TB of data and standard archiving cleared another 540 GB. In total, 2.9 TB out of 3.9 TB (74%) was removed during the project.
AMS created a custom suite of exceptional tools to perfect our Oracle JD Edwards EnterpriseOne work orders, inventory and maintenance needs, and generally fixed every pain point we could think of! Once we implemented CAM Performance Plus, every aspect of our maintenance operations changed; tradespersons could efficiently print and perform work, planners no longer struggled to find parts and manage the WO backlog, and accounting now gets real-time allocation of maintenance costs.
In our industry (Refining), safety is our primary concern. Before implementing the PrintCue solution, we had to rely on Planners to manually compile work order packets and attach the required Management of Change (MOC), Lockout/Tagout, Hot Work Permits, etc. Now we just click “Print WO” and all of the information the trades need to safely perform the job is printed in a single packet. It wasn’t just a time savings enhancement… it is a necessary measure to ensure the safety of our most valuable asset, our people.
We needed to find a better way of processing work orders within the Oracle JD Edwards EnterpriseOne software. AMS Work Order Lifecycle Suite fixed a huge problem for us! It took the existing busy screens that took forever to complete, and made it so easy to request the work order that we needed. It’s even easy for us ‘old guys’ to pick up and use. Amazing!
We deal with thousands of work orders a week. We purchased all of the AMS CAM enhancements, but when you ask our Maintenance Planners which feature they like the best, they’ll say PARTS Pro. Once they are done planning the WO’s for maintenance or turnaround, PARTS Pro now monitors each WO for when the parts are available and notifies the Schedulers when they can perform the work. This used to be done manually – every single day – for every WO in the backlog! Now the Planners have more time to Plan and evaluate work than simply having to check on whether parts are here. We absolutely depend on PARTS Pro!
